My new Canon printer (GBP 200) had been re-sealed with tape proclaiming "Officially re-sealed by Canon". I presume that this was when they put in the free software CDs. My new Canon L IS lens (GBP 1240) wasn't sealed. I have never seen any Canon photographic equipment sealed in the UK, except for the cheap compacts in their bubble-packs. Go figure.
