I notice the central, spot metering circle of my default EOS-3 screen is considerably brighter then all the rest area of the finder. No question whether it is OK, I guess it deliberately has been designed this way. Why ? Frankly, that bothers me a bit, while the entire screen doesn't meet that brightness as delivered in the spot metering circle. Any ideas ?
Did anybody try the New Laser-matte screen (Ec-R) in EOS-3 ? According to Canon, this one is 1 full stop (or even a bit more) brighter then the EOS-3 default, since being originally developed for EOS-1N RS. I would consider one to replace the default screen in my EOS-3, however hesitate due to lack of AF area oval which I find very convenient for focusing composition.
