I own this lens. Here is a link that tells more about it: http://www.ephotozine.com/news/fullnews.cfm/NewsID/759
There is a newer model. Here is a link for that: http://www.regencycamera.com/tok28atxproa1.html I haven't compared the one I have to Sigma, but I have read here and other places that Tokina, in general, ranks below Canon but above Sigma. Tamron is a distant fourth. Before the Sigma-lovers all jump on me, I said "in general." A particular Sigma product might rank higher than the equivalent Tokina product and well as vice versa. And once again, this is just what I have read. I have done no testing myself. > -----Original Message----- > From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]]On Behalf Of Nabil > Esphahani > Sent: Wednesday, November 27, 2002 2:23 PM > To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] > Subject: RE: EOS Canon 24-85 vs Sigma 24-70/2.8 vs Sigma 28-70/2.8 > > > Is that a recommendation for the Tokina (which one) or just a question? > If it is better than all the ones I mentioned I would go for it. > > * **** ******* *********************************************************** * For list instructions, including unsubscribe, see: * http://www.a1.nl/phomepag/markerink/eos_list.htm ***********************************************************
