Hi Alex,

I can only say that *maybe* it was a bit darker. I don't think I could
really tell the difference, to be honest, not in the brightness. But
objects did have more pop when coming into focus. I liked it so much
that I actually thought about trying to cut one down for one of my D60s,
since the screens in there are pretty poor in terms of being able to
tell how close you are to proper manual focus (I shoot birds most often,
and the treebranches generally screw up AF...or it is just too slow for
some birds).

As a side note, I did some little tests with the CF-0, switching back
and forth on the setting without changing the screen, and I could never
get any changes in exposure due to the change in CF-0 setting. Does the
setting change adjust exposure only for particular conditions (like spot
metering with certain lenses or something like that)? It really doesn't
matter, and I just left it where Canon says to, but I was just curious.
I also figured that if the camera made no exposure adjustments, at least
with the lenses and settings that I was using, that must have meant that
the brightness of the two screens (stock and EC-D) was really not much
different, probably something in the range of a tenth of a stop, which
would be too little to register, generally, on the third stop metering
display, but may be taken into account when it was doing auto exposure.
Sorry, it has been a while, so I have forgotten the specifics of my
quick and dirty "test".

Anybody know of a good way to trim the EC-D to fit the D60?

Thanks,

Mike
