Thanks William, I have been doing a lot of searching and found the Sony SV
88. The only problems are it requires a tv monitor hooked into it, and the
printer alone is $800. Lots of money for only 4 x 6 capability, but I may
look into it further.

I would really like a Hi-Touch 640 PS dye sub printer, (outstanding
performance, reasonable price, completely stand alone), but again, it only
reads memory cards.

Now the new question.....
I use a card reader to download into my computer. Is is possible to
download the photos with the reader, remove the card, clear the card in the
camera, reinsert the card into the reader, make any edits I want in PS with
the downloaded photos in the computer, then save them BACK to the memory
card? I have actually tried this, and the photos DO load back onto the
memory card, but I have not tried putting the card into a printer and see if
it recognizes the files. (The camera does not see the files when I re-insert
it into the camera). It may only be loading them onto the card and reading
them with my computer. I will try going somewhere that has a card reading
photo printer out for demonstration and see if it will read the files from
my card. If it will then my problem is solved, if not, back to the drawing
board, or just keep using my old reliable Epson ink jet.

Steve
