Yes... but you need to conform to the directory requirements of the camera and/or printer: For example, the 10D uses the DCIM directory as the root and then subdirectories off of each of these to hold the images. Each subdirectory is named 100...999. The file numbering scheme is explained on p.161 of the 10D manual (English version). In the past I've copied images from the PC to a Canon G2 to create a small, portable, slideshow device for display on a TV. IIRC I just copied to a numbered sub-directory of DCIM and the camera displayed them fine. ************************************************* This is only important if you want to be able to see the images on your camera. If your only interest is getting them read by a printer, none of this is generally necessary; every printer that I've ever used that accepted memory cards found them in subdirectories with no problems.
