A report on the new all-in-one Canon digicam S1 reminded me once more
that even the oldest generation pro-digicam does better than the
latest generation consumer-digicam, on the aspect of shutter-
lag....the S1 is at nearly 1s.
Have seen similar negative reports on D30/60 I believe.
Anyone ever kept track of this particular data, down to the oldest
models?
(frightening few sites who list all models since 1994 btw)
(try finding the very small CCD-size of the DCS5c for example)
Actually, it reminds me also that the need for a pellicle mirror
camera has still not vanished....:))
(utter shame that the 1n-RS came with a fix-mounted booster,
otherwise it might have been adaptable to the removable digi-part of
an DCS-1/3/5 or even 520/560/D2000/D6000....:))
