What report was this?  I just got the S1 IS and am strongly considering
returning it (we've been very spoiled by the 10D over the years) and
getting something different.

I'm looking for something in the 3+ MP range w/ a good optical zoom,
low shutter lag and a good movie mode.  The only other camera that seems
to fit this bill that has IS is the new 8MP Konica Minolta, but at
> $1000 street, it's way more than we want to spend on a "Backup"
camera.  Unfortunately, most reviews don't compare shutter lag
with as technical approach.  Canon's Lag + blackout + EVF make it
very hard to use to actually take pictures.  I'm thinking that it
it might be better to ask for our good old Nikon 990 back.
