If they can come out with a full frame DSLR that is along the build lines of
the EOS 3 and EOS 1 series film cameras that is priced at $2500 or less,
they will find a huge market. Whether or not it has 8, 12, or 16 MPs is
less important as I believe you can generate great print at up to 13X19 inch
size (from my experience) with anything greater that 5 MPs.
Why do I want full frame? It's what I'm used to and it keeps my lens
collection consistent with my film experiences and practices. After all,
haven't many of us purchased lens collections and camera bags for different
occasions? We don't want to have to rebuild or buy a whole new setup.
Also, controlling depth of field is important to me, and with smaller
CCD/CMOS sensors, getting shallow depth of fields at normal to wide angle
lenses is difficult. I'm happy with my 20D, but would really like a full
frame sensor at a reasonable price (is $2500 reasonable???).
