Hi Paul,

IMHO 28-135 is THE all-in-one Canon 1.0x lens. Period.
:-) However you may want to consider the 1.6x
conversion it will give you.

What are you saying? For what it gives you, it is a
bargain - Ring USM (with Full Time Manual Focus),
Internal Focus, metal mount (superior build), decent
pic quality, and best of all IS - all for about US
$400 ! Granted it is no L lens, but all-in-one L's are
pretty steep in price.

Do comparison shots at your local camera store if you
can - with a DSLR - it should not cost anything.
