Hi Paul, IMHO 28-135 is THE all-in-one Canon 1.0x lens. For what it gives you, it is a bargain - Ring USM (with Full Time Manual Focus), Internal Focus, metal mount (superior build), decent pic quality, and best of all IS - all for about US $400 !
