Please excuse my ignorance on this but in trying to track down why my altimeter was off by a couple of hundred feet I noticed that it was not connected to anything at all... just attatched to the panel. I then found that my Ercoupe has no static port. I have 2 coupes and upon checking the other one I found it to be the same. Is this common? How can I (Can I?) install a static port or correct the problem? Do I need to? I am planning on upgrading the venturi, installing a vertical speed and D.G. Any help would be appreciated.
