My compass developed a leak and I lost 10% of the damping fluid.
We had it sent out for repair and when it came back, it would not indicate
properly during the swinging in calibration adjustment tests. OK on all
directions but west - off 19deg. Upon removal of radios, it was only off
16deg. Next, we tried a brand new compass and it, too, gave bad behavior.

Has anyone had any experience with such a problem? I would greatly
appreciate any useful suggestions to get the compass to swing test and
behave properly.
Thanks
