Tony It is my opinion that you should always turn off the fuel when the plane is parked for extend periods, even though it is a real pain in the ass with the coupe. The fuel valve is in a very bad location. It can easily be forgotten and not turned back on. I have a small sign like a Temp handcapped sign that I hang on the compass, when the valve is off, to remind me to turn it on before flight. As far as the fuel leak I would guess that you have a bad gasolator gasket. It should not leak. If nothing else it,s a fire hazzard. I hope this helps.
