Iam still trying to determine if the caps on a 1966 Alon A2 should be vented or ubvented? I still have fuel venting out of the left wing (when filled to 2" below top) until I am 10 - 15 minutes into a flight some times longer. I tried covering the wing tank vents and it seams to stop the syphoning and fuel seems to still transfer but it scares me to do this if its not the way it's should be. I have recieved a lot of well intended conflecting advice. Does anyone have a source of that could settle this matter once and for all. I don't want to end up causing a fuel starvation incident due to something I change trying to fix this problem.
