Tandy - It is my understanding that a valid driver's license is your valid medical certificate if you are a declared and FAA licensed Sport Pilot. If you are a member, call AOPA or EAA. They both have specialists for answering Sport Pilot questions. My current carrier is AIG. The policy requires that when the insured aircraft is in flight that the pilot have a current "FAA Pilots Certificate" and "if required, a current and valid FAA medical certificate" It is my understanding that the FAR's now recognize the Sport Pilot rule and therefore a medical certificate is not required to fly as a Sport Pilot. > > Does anyone know anything different? > > > Tandy > > --------------------------------- > Do you Yahoo!? > Yahoo!
