You need a longer lever. I sometimes have to bring the breaker bar back
to Sears for a replacement when I am done. Some front wheel drive
bearings will be ruined with no preload. VW is this way. They go to 160
or so lb-ft. After a few years of sitting, it is like 600+ lb-ft for
removal. On VW, both re right handed threads, though. I have been known
to cut the nut in half with a dremel tool and abrasive wheel on the
stubborn ones.
