may I ask if this had been the favored, preferred, or even provisionally approved, design concept before it was cancelled? it would do a lot for public opinion to know that this was a military best-choice technology path ...and I say, in general, if only hybrids are going to be made by the big boys, and since they are making so much hay over the fact that this is where they REALLY want to go, then let's be certain to push for the EV/genset hybrid over the electric-assist gas motor pseudo-hybrid... after all, "everyone knows that the only REAL hybrid is the EV/genset kind", right? along with the slogan "But I WANT to plug it in!" (lots of laughs and very memorable)
