Did I miss something in this thread? This is interesting information, but I wasn't talking about installing charging points at filling stations - nor was anyone else, as far as I can tell. I suppose these regulations might apply to charging points at convenience stores that sell fuel. But my observation is that not many people spend enough time at those stores to make charging useful. (Sometimes it's hard to tell the difference between a convenience store that sells fuel, and a filling station with an attached convenience store - if there IS any difference.) We do have one Northeast Ohio supermarket chain that has filling stations in front of some of its markets. But the stations are in the "outlot" area, far enough away from the store building that I don't think these regulations would apply. The market owners could easily fit charging points to other areas of the car parking, if (1) they cared enough and (2) this part of Northeast Ohio had any significant factory EV population, which it doesn't yet.
