In the industrial world we live in it all comes down to what will make the most profitable. Skunk scent may work but here in rural Florida, the scrap buyers will accept wire with the insulation burned off so they put insulated wire scraps in a steel barrel without a top and add a cup of gasoline and throw a match at it . so how much effect will having skunk scent in the wire have? And with the nearest neighbor a mile away who will notice?
