Hello Bill,

The first thing you do is go to the DMV and have the title delete or some times
call a junk title. Contact a savage yard and they normally will pick it up for
free.

Back in 73, I bought a car just to get the transaxle out of it for $450.00.
These type of transaxles are use in min-engine race cars and now cost $9000.00
for just the transaxle.

There is some value in a lot of cars, that people think they are just junk. A
friend of mine sold a Corvair air cool engine that is use in a lot of single
engine aircrafts.

Subject: [EVDL] Scrapping an EV

I didn't have any takers on my "Starter EV, Just Add Batteries" offer. So
I'm just going to take out all the EV components and scrap the car. What's
the procedure for getting a motor-less car to a junk yard? Do you have to
pay them to pick up the car, or do they just come and take it off your hands
for whatever remaining parts it may have?

Thanks,

Bill
