Donate the car to the charity of your choice. I have donated several cars over the years to "Car Talk" on National Public Radio.

It's simple. You find the title, give them a call and pick a time, and someone meets you and tows away the car.
They will pick up _anything_ that you could remotely call a vehicle.

You get at least a $500 tax deduction (not a rebate or anything, just a deduction like giving money to a charity,) perhaps more if they sell it for more.
