I don't see TOU shifting quite working out financially, almost though. Example, my utility charges 46c/kWh peak rates and 11c/kWh off peak rates. so essentially I save 35c per kWh that I shift, or $3.50 if I use the 10kWh full capacity every day, ignoring losses.
That's $100/month which gives a payback period of about 3 years. So far it sounds pretty good but after 3 years we've put 1100 very deep cycles on that pack and it probably will need to be replaced soon. I guess the question is how long the pack lasts.
