I grew up in Detroit, and delivered the Detroit Free Press (usually zero emission, by foot or bicycle). The paper is mainstream, but you’re right - ICE country. At least it *was* a few years ago. The OEMs there are going full EV, so there’s no reason to post FUD.
And the numbers, while the bottom line numbers are surprising, sound relatively similar to numbers I’ve seen else elsewhere, from credible sources.
