We should (according to the WAP) expect to find ourselves in a vale of tears, living lives that are "nasty, brutish and short" (although there is a self-selection argument that we will also find ourselves near the peak of population for our species). We should expect most places in our universe to be hostile to life (and probably most times in the history of the universe to be hostile to life, as well). Curiously enough, observation appears to support exactly what the WAP predicts. -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Everything List" group.
