Mother: Oh, and the FPI works while you are asleep too, darling. This means
that you will experience the "many dreams" and will not at all be able to
predict what you will dream. Is it any wonder some people think all of life is
a dream? Note that I didn't say "just a dream" or "but a dream" because I'm
actually not sure what the ultimate difference between dreaming and being awake
is, given that to experience the dream at all, part of me has to be awake. Do
we ever really get to truly go to sleep? When does our (first) person ever
switch off? Off to sleep, now. Big day tomorrow.
