​Certainly. And if you put me on a plane and I asked "Where is this plane
going, what one and only one city will I be in tomorrow?"​ then that would
be a legitimate  question because duplication was not involved so the
meaning of the personal pronoun "I" is clear.

​Certainly not. But if I said "after I am duplicated ​and become 2 what one
and only one city will I be in?" that would not be a question, that would
just be noises made with my mouth with no more meaning than a burp, another
noise made with the mouth.
