That just begs the question, which differences are important and which ones are not? Is the color of your skin the most important thing that determines the quality of your consciousness, or is it your sex, or the fact that your brain is made mostly of carbon and not silicon? I have a strong hunch the most determination of consciousness is not what your brain is made of but how it handles information, but I will never be able to prove it.
