Indeed. A large number of people would disappear if logical consistency was 
obligatory. Maybe even PA. Only RA would remain for sure, and the ontology of 
mechanist would persist, but the phenomenology would be only talk by inexistent 
zombies. 

Now, I can make some sense of what Pales want: that “real things” cannot be 
used to prove “0=1”, perhaps. I am OK with that.
