It seems to me that while gas prices do effect every class, they effect participation more in the lower cost classes. This is especially true for F500 due to the trailers we use. You are much more apt to see a S-M or IT-whatever come to the track on an open trailer. Three dollars a gallon hurts alot more when you get 6 to 8 MPG towing an enclosed trailer. It's also a much bigger percentage increase in the budget to run an F5 than say FC or GT.
