the Fox shocks on my arctic cat would be a suitable shock also, the spring rates are adjustable
and aftermarket price isnt too bad either
take a look at some of those, the weights are close too so its almost "off the shelf" on another note , autocross has thier own rules cant you guys get some of the rules lightened up just for you. I would imagine since the conditions of the tracks and surfaces you run on are are "inconsistent with the provisions and intent" of the rules? hehe some scca wording there after all the rules for club racing are wrote assuming you are running on a decent track surface. its of like saying you have to use a set up for pavement racing but were scheduling the race at a dirt track :)
have a nice weekend all

I personally am not in favor of the conventional shocks for our cars. I
do solo only (no road racing). However, if you guys are truly interested
in the shock deal, check out the coil-overs that the new 4 wheel atvs
have. Some of the 4 wheelers are closing in on 600 to 700 lbs, not quite
the 200 lb machines of old. With that kind of weight, the coil-overs
should be closely matched to the needs of our cars. I dont know what
they cost, but a call or 2 to your local dealership would give a
ball-park. My guess would be in the $150 each area. Kawasaki, Honda,
Yamaha and Suzuki all make these, as well as Polaris and a few others.
