At the 2003 Runoffs, I t-boned Charlie Schlissman's car in turn 1 on Monday. His car was stationary at the time and my data system showed an almost instant deceleration from 80 mph to 0. Not only do I credit HANS with protecting me from the possible b-skull fracture, but also leaving me with absolutely no neck or shoulder pain the next day. Walking away from the wreck and being back on the track 3 days later - both priceless!
