I use a HANS (R40) in my Mk7. I'll probably never need it.
Of course I pay taxes to support the fire department, too. I've never
needed the fire department either.
You had might as well purchase it now while they are optional and avoid the
rush. Mandatory HANS utilization is inevitable.
