I find myself agreeing with Chuck, and it wasn't one of my resolutions...
  As discussed earlier, if the car was in harms way nosed in somewhere, the 
safety crew could quickly respond because they saw a mark on the car that told 
them the car has no reverse.

But, like the symbol to help people find the master kill switch, I just 
don't see any downside if it were a rule.

A rule might help with the uniformity and make the label or symbol easier to 
find in an emergency.
