Which still doesn't prevent the grid workers from expecting all the cars to
put it in reverse and back into their grid spots??????

Jay is correct. Furthermore, ASR, CSR and FS do not require reverse gears.
While it is fair to say that most classes do require an operational reverse,
the club will happily accommodate cars without them, so long as there is a
legitimate reason for not having one - such as F5's CVT or a m/c 'box. Stan
