of course something else is always waiting!

In reference to the previous post, I also built a dash panel, replaced every switch in it, and the temp gauge. Installed primer pump. Replaced both mirrors. Contoured and built up drivers seat to fit my fat a$$. Replaced bent jack shaft. Overhauled both clutches. Replaced both belts. Overhauled both carbs. Rebuilt top end of engine 4 times. Rebuilt bottom end of engine once. Overhauled rear springs which were seized up, replacing bushings and rubber in canisters. Straightened and repaired discrepancies in chassis. Repaired brake system including improperly installed brake line and new pads.

That just about covers it, although I'm sure I missed a few things.

Still to do: Check out wobble in rear axle. Bent? Build dead pedal. Gusset frame near engine mounts. Build fasteners for drive belt guard. Create a more aesthetic filler neck for cooling system. Create new pistons for rear spring canisters. Exhaust work to quiet engine down. Reconfigure fueling system. Build more aesthetic body panels for rear of car.

I guess I should have just jacked up the rad cap and put a new car under it, (actually I still have the same rad cap (ha ha)). Even though it's been a ton of work, generally I've enjoyed the project and I've learned an awful lot about the car in the process. 8-)
