Doesn't he do a week of silence every year just before his "birthday" in January, when he proclaims the theme for the coming year? I remember seeing a tape of his address just after supposedly coming out of silence one year (many years ago), in which he was draped in a beige shawl and spoke quite softly but looked very blissful. It's the only time I recall seeing him wearing anything over his white outfit. We were told he didn't eat or drink anything during the week of silence, and that he always looked rather frail when he came out. ------------------------ Yahoo!
