BTW, another issue with using KOI8 as system codepage. Beside EGA/VGA,
which allows to change fonts "on the fly", there also was/are CGA, which
can't be programmed (you may only downloads character shapes for upper half
of ASCII8 _for graphics mode_). This is why such adapters was reprogrammed
in hardware (through ultraviolet devices) and there usually used CP866.
