You have wrong imagine. _So called_ "ANSI" codepage (BTW, ANSI is a
American National Standatization Institute - how MS relates fot them?) is
only name of _current used codepage_. Of course, in each country there are
own Windows (so called "ANSI") codepage - for example, in Russia this is
CP1251. All the same as for DOS, when in each country there are own DOS
codepage - for example, in Russia this is CP866.
