We are constantly fighting this problem at my Mom's. She has bowls out and covers them after the cats leave. We've been known to throw bread scraps away from the feeding area too. A lot will depend on the ferals and whether they appear on time for mess call.
If you have men who will exclude any of God's creatures from the shelter of compassion and pity, you will have men who will deal likewise with their fellow man. She has a new problem. The starlings are eating the cat food. Has anyone encountered this? Have suggestions for what works to feed cats, not birds? thanks! Laurie
