I've been given permission by Save A Pet in Grayslake, IL to post about this
special love bug kitty. Her name is Fontana, a beautiful grey, short-haired
feline. Fontana is a tiny girl at 7 pounds, but possesses a huge capacity for
giving and receiving love! She is about 3 years old and is a recent addition
to the shelter's family. She's now lonely in the isolation room, as she is the
only FeLV feline in residence. She has had several snap tests, all negative,
and a few IFA tests, all positive. The staff is anxious for a definitive
diagnosis, but as many of us know, in this type of case, divergent results will
eventually converge. Thus, she is alone in her cage each day. She is
currently asymptomatic.
They are looking for a special foster home for Fontana, before her loneliness
effects her outlook and immune system. If you are in the Chicagoland area, or
perhaps just over the border in Wisconsin, and can find a place in your home
and heart for this charcoal charmer, please contact the fostering team at Save
a Pet at: [email protected]
Thank you so much,
Shannon (and Whimsy)
