Actually, Kurenai may be one of the few people Sakura knows who hasn't
had thoughts along that line yet...

Yeah; not sure how that one slipped by...

Well, it's stated in canon that Konoha is working their damnedest to
make sure everyone knows as little about it as possible. The Sound and
Sand snuck in and invaded Konoha village specificially, without
striking any other targets. The losses on either side are supposedly
pretty well hidden.
As the Lord Haruno governs the region, he'll have better information
about everyone else in the fire country regarding the extent of the
incursion. Thus, getting him on their side would allow them to further
filter the information reaching the rest of the country.

Hinata has finely honed senses when it comes to idiots.

Perhaps... though this might be the first time that Hinata has ever

Stress will do that... though like in an earlier response, Hinata's
had a bit of a strict, sheltered upbringing, and Sakura is... er...
probably the total antithesis of the image of a proper young lady that
has been drilled into Hinata since birth. This makes Sakura a strange
an entertaining creature. Plus, Hinata's suddenly in the position
where she doesn't have the weight of the clan on her shoulders
anymore...

Sakura, perhaps a little _too_ much...

A little abuse probably would have prevented the later, unmitigated

You'd think she'd know better by now...
Actually, she _does_ know better. She's just got the impulse control
of a doped-up weasel with ADD -_-;.
Now i need to figure out how badly Sakura broke her...
