Favorite Fleece

My favorite fleece is jacob because it is such a wonderful surprise working 
with it! The white part can be white or a beautiful heather. And the black 
or brown or lilac is superb. I raised jacobs for several years and had the 
blackest black and the whitest white!
Although I learned to spin with polypay and alpaca (!), neither is 
necessarily the easiest to find. I was lucky that they were raised locally 
in southeastern Arizona where I lived along with Shetland, Romney, karakul, 
cotswold, suffolk, navajo churro, alpaca and more! There was definitely no 
shortage of fleeces available from the locals.
