just an aside since we have been discussing "favourite fleece" I have
started spinning again everyday. First of all I was inspired to bring up
one of my unusual wheels and give it a good oiling and then more as the
days have gone by. This is a wheel made from a Popular Mechanics
magazine [which issue I don't know, but probably in the 70s......does
anyone know?] Then I opened up a nearby basket and fished out the first
carded something I could find - a Cormo cream. And it was going just
fine until I went to over to SETS on Sunday and thought that the last
bit of superwash Merino in the brightest of colours was looking very
lonely on the shelves so I've split it up and it's now going onto the
same bobbin! I think I will fill up a couple of bobbins and ply on the
wheel and then take it down again and bring up another wheel.....most of
my working wheels are unusual in that they are rare ones!
