One of the things I like about Edwards style is that he puts his name at the top of the e-mail so that we can see imediately from whom the message is sent rather than having to scroll up to the details or down to the signature. I find his style very clear. I find other styles clear as well.
As for HTML, as I have mentioned before, my software does not give me the option - as far as I am aware, I have no control whatsoever over how my e-mails go out (unlike my previous provider) and once again, I must apologize for the inconvenience it causes.
I hate to suggest this after all the problems we have just had, but could the new server not be setup to strip html from messages?
