I disagree that it is a limitation. The various notation fonts are designed to work with the software with which they are provided for specific purposes. If I understand him correctly, Charles is trying to use the font for something which it will do, but for which it was not designed, and for which it's not the best tool. Kind of like using a ten pound sledge hammer to open a can of beans; yes, you can do the job, but it's easier with a can opener.
