While ordering my upgrade I noticed that Garritan has a GM product for
sale (at a supposedly reduced rate for Finale users).
I have several questions about this for the list:
1) does it include saxes? I would imagine so since the GM spec includes
saxes, but want confirmation if possible from someone who actually owns
the product.
2) is it a Finale-only version (as the included GPO is) or is it a
complete standalone, use with other applications if we wish, version (as
is the full GPO for those who invest in it)? Will I be able to use it
with Sibelius or Band-in-a-Box if I wish?
3) How easy is it to work with it in Finale?
4) Are the sounds a huge improvement over the SmartMusic Soundfont or
since it's just a GM product, the samples aren't as large or well
put-together as the full GPO or JABB programs?
Thanks in advance for any insights anybody can offer me on this -- I
realize I can learn a lot from the Garritan web site, but I'm really
hoping to get some actual experienced users to chime in also.
