Add Piccolo, Flute, *uncheck* Generate LInked Parts, finish with defaults. 3. Document | Manage Parts | Part Creation Preferences, check Create MM Rests 4. Generate Parts, OK. 5. Switch to Piccolo part, in Page View. I see one big MM rest.
