Thanks for replies, I'll try replaying a few times, but this is
certainly not a workable
solution for long-term use. I'm suspecting something to do w/prefs,
plists, or sample
speed incompatibility somewhere, but haven't figured out where to
look yet.

Hi,
Please help? Newly installed Finale 2009, upgrade from 2006d.
Playback stutters badly no matter whether Smartmusic Softsynth,
QuickTime, or Garriton. I'm on PowerMac G5 1.8 GHZ, 1 G RAM, OS
10.4.3. All of my other MIDI and audio apps work fine, including
Finale 2006. Is Finale 2009 just too overloaded w/Garriton sounds or
is something else going on?
This happens on my computer also (Mac). I've found that if I play the
passage two or three times in a row, the stuttering goes away. Not
sure why
this happens but multiple playbacks have solved the problem every
time for
me. Kind of a pain, but what can you do?
