I have to add that my own experience is in agreement with Robert's assesment.
He is not being cynical, but is realistically describing how much of MM's
software support works.

When I submitted my last few bug reports, I got a reply at the end of the day
asking if I had tried trashing the Finale Preferences File. I always do try
this and I always mention it in my report. By ignoring what I wrote or not
reading carefully, the MM support staff buys another day with not having to
really answer anything. (Who knows what kind of soul-crushing econometric
regime they have to live under?) After a few days I usually get a response that
basically says they will pass it on and that they don't know what is going on.

There be dragons in Finale 2012 and they aren't being slain.
