What about the all-aluminum drop-in replacements from CI? Does anyone
here know whether they're really direct replacements? The fine print
says they may be thicker than stock and could require minor mods to
mounts, shroud, etc.

Goodmorning Steve,
If you decide to go with Be Cool, look at the complete kit that is offered
by them. Includes Radiator (polished) radiator cap, duel electric fans with
shroud and mounting hardware. The outlay of cash is certainly more than a 4 core
but I purchased the complete kit and have been extremely happy with the set
up.
Should you decide to go with a 4 core stock radiator have 2 (1 origional
small hole) and 1 in perfect condition which was used a very short period of
time if your interested.
